The objective of this study was to verify the applicability in field tests of a methodology previously proposed for the overall efficiency of tractors on concrete. Two correlations were considered for the efficiencyone as a function of the engine speed and torque resulting in coefficients of multiple determination between 0.954 and 0.978, and the other as a function of the travel speed and drawbar pull, with coefficients of multiple determination between 0.965 and 0.985. Tests were performed with a tractor operating in four different gears in a specific soil. Both correlations were found to be adequate to evaluate the overall tractor efficiency.
