The crystal structure of NN′-disalicylidene-ethylenediaminezinc(II) monohydrate has been determined by two-dimensional X-ray methods. The molecule adopts a 5-co-ordinate pyramidal configuration, similar to that of related copper complexes, by co-ordination of the water molecule.
