Long-term results of bilateral thoracoscopic splanchnicectomy in patients with chronic pancreatitis

Abstract

Bilateral thoracoscopic splanchnicectomy alleviated pain in patients with chronic pancreatitis. It was associated with a low morbidity rate and no deaths. Pain eventually recurred in approximately 50 per cent.
