Thermoluminescence of ZnO:Pr and ZnO:Gd under UV, β-and γ-ray irradiations

Abstract

An investigation is made on thermoluminescence of ZnO: Pr and ZnO: Gd. Thermoluminescence glow curves of ZnO: Pr and ZnO: Gd are recorded after excitation by uv, β-and γ-ray irradiation. TL studies are made by a number of methods, namely isothermal decay, heating rate, and peak shape methods. The TL parameters determined are trap depth, order of kinetics, and escape frequency factor. The nature of these factors are discussed.
