SUMMARY Adult F1 hybrid mice suffering from the graft-versus-host reaction demonstrated increased fecal loss of protein, as shown by the 51Cr-excretion test, as well as severe hypoalbuminemia. Histological lesions were evident in the small bowel of all of the animals undergoing runting. The significance of these findings in relation to the wasting observed in F1 homologous disease is discussed.
