Abstract

D3 and C2 symmetric hexa-peri-hexabenzocoronenes showed surprisingly reduced isotrpic temperatures with respect to their D6h symmetric analogue. The self-assembly at the solid–liquid interface displayed novel zigzag and flower-like patterns.
