Abstract

Data on ingestion by copepods as a function of concentration of food were re‐examined with regard to possible mathematical models for this process. A rectilinear model was found preferable, but the hyperbolic models could not be statistically rejected. The choice of a model was particularly crucial at very low concentrations of food.
