Abstract

Gamma rays from 137Cs have been resolved using room-temperature HgI2 detectors in three different configurations. The methods used were (i) single charge collection in a thick quasihemispherical-shaped detector (ii) a thin HgI2 detector irradiated edge-on, and (iii) pulse rise-time discrimination with a thin detector irradiated face-on.
