Abstract A procedure is described for the separation of human B lymphocytes on a digestible immunoadsorbent. Antiglobulin was attached to a Sephadex support by means of a digestible gelatin bridge. Immunoglobulin‐bearing B cells were retained by the columns, while the eluate was enriched for T lymphocytes. Retained B cells were removed from the column by collagenase digestion. These cells were viable and responded to the mitogenic stimulation of phytohemagglutinin.
