Acetylene: new prospects of classical reactions

Abstract

The latest results in the field of classical reactions of acetylene are analysed. Attention is focused on reactions catalysed by strong bases (vinylation, alkynol synthesis, acetylene–allene isomerisation) and related syntheses.
