ESCA studies of some A^IIIB^v compounds with Ga and As

Abstract

Abstract Electron spectra have been recorded from the A III B V compounds GaP, GaAs, GaSb, and InAs as well as from Ga 2 0 3 , As 2 O 3 , Ga, and As. Binding energy values, determined b; careful energy calibrations, are reported for the Ga and As 3d electrons. The bindin energy shifts for the A III B V compounds suggest a charge transfer from A to B.
