ABSTRACT The thyroid and adrenal function was studied in 54 patients with a histologically verified pituitary adenoma before and after neurosurgical therapy. Even following operation at which radical removal of the pituitary was intended more than 50 per cent of the patients had a normal function of the thyroid and of the adrenal cortex.
