ABSTRACT CREAMS-WT, a modified version of the field scale CREAMS model, was developed to better represent the hydrology of flat, sandy, high-water-table watersheds. The model simulates a high water table, yielding improved estimates of the available storage in the profile, with a modified SCS Curve Number method used to predict runoff. Comparison with available data shows improved prediction of runoff, evapotranspiration, percolation, and soil water content. A sensitivity analysis of key parameters is included. CREAMS-WT was developed and tested using data from watersheds in the South Florida flatwoods region, but should also be applicable to Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain areas that have similar hydrologic conditions.
