Up-Regulation of Collagen and Tissue Inhibitors of Matrix Metalloproteinase in Colonic Diverticular Disease

Abstract

Colonic diverticulosis is associated with altered collagen content and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases expression. These factors may play a role in remodeling the gut wall in this condition.
