Essential Oil of <i>Satureja bachtiarica</i> Bunge

Abstract

Abstract The essential oil isolated by steam distillation from the aerial parts of Satureja bachtiarica Bunge was analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. Among the 26 compounds identified, the major components were thymol (44.5%), γ-terpinene (23.9%), p-cymene (7.3%), β-caryophyllene (5.3%) and borneol (4.2%).
