Abstract

External cavity coupled semiconductor lasers are theoretically analysed for the suppression of oscillation frequency shift caused by current modulation and temperature change. The results indicate that strong optical feedback, AR-coating of laser facet and large ratio of passive/active cavity length are effective for the frequency shift suppression.
