Abstract 1. For the detection of H 2 O 2 formed by X‐rays in aqueous solution two enzyme systems have been used: a (liver‐catalase and 14 C labelled formate, 14 CO 2 being the reaction product; b) horseradish‐peroxidase and o‐dianisidine, the oxidation of which can be followed colorimetrically.
