Abstract

Abstract Treatment of various alcohols with 1-methyl-2-fluoropyridinium salt and sodium N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamate afforded alkykl N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamates of inverted configuration. The latter compounds were converted to thioalcohols with retention.
