Low-temperature time-resolved Faraday-rotation measurements in ${\mathrm{Cd}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{x}\mathrm{Te}$ allow direct observation of the time evolution of the interaction between an electron spin and the magnetic moments of dilute impurity ions. The experiment displays real-time formation and evolution of magnetically organized states suggestive of the bound magnetic polaron.
