Quadrupole Antishielding Factors of Ions

Abstract

Values of the quadrupole antishielding factor ${\ensuremath{\gamma}}_{\ensuremath{\infty}}$ have been calculated for the ${\mathrm{F}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, ${\mathrm{Br}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, ${\mathrm{Rb}}^{+}$, ${\mathrm{Pr}}^{3+}$, and ${\mathrm{Tm}}^{3+}$ ions, using the method of direct solution of the inhomogeneous Schroedinger equation for the perturbed wave functions.
