In mammalian cells, there are five NF-κB sub-units, which are divided into two groups. The first groupconsists of RelA (also known as p65 or NF-κB3), c-Rel andRelB. The second group includes larger proteins p105 andp100, which are processed to produce the mature p50 (alsoknown as NF-κB1) and p52 (also known as NF-κB2)proteins, respectively.
