Incidence and mortality of generalized convulsive status epilepticus in California

Abstract

The incidence of GCSE requiring hospitalization has fallen over the last decade and is lower than that reported in previous studies. The case fatality is also lower than that reported previously. Further studies are needed to determine the cause of this decline in incidence and mortality of GCSE.
