The natural-abundance pulse and Fourier transform ^(13)C nmr spectra of several Rauwolfia alkaloids have been recorded. Using noise-decoupling, partial single-frequency off-resonance deooupling (SFOR), and lanthanide chelate induced chemical-shift changes (lanthanide shifts), a self-consistent series of assignments have been made for the observed resonances.
