Pure rotational transitions of allene in the degenerate vibrational states v9=1, v10=1, and v11=1 have been observed with a pulsed microwave Fourier transform spectrometer. The assignment of the J=0→1 transitions was confirmed by microwave–microwave double resonance experiments. From the latter and from Stark effect measurements the magnitude of the vibrationally induced dipole moments have been determined. The rotational constants known from high-resolution infrared spectra have been improved.
