Abstract

Abstract Pretreatment with capsaicin tends to normalize pulmonary lipid peroxidation changes induced by exposure to sulfur dioxide, formalin or nitrogen dioxide gases. This protective effect of capsaicin pretreatment appears to be due to the stabilization of the rat lung membrane lipid system.
