Microwave transitions have been observed for the four naturally abundant AgBr species at about 850°C. The pure rotational spectra of molecules in several vibrational states have been obtained. The internuclear distance is re = 2.392212±0.000004 Å. Quadrupole hyperfine splittings due to the 79Br and 81Br nuclei give coupling constants eqQ of 307 and 257±20 Mc/sec, respectively. The molecular constants for 107Ag79Br are found to be Be = 1943.687±0.003 Mc/sec, αe = 7.0742±0.0050 Mc/sec, γe = 5.02±0.45 kc/sec, De = 0.53±0.13 kc/sec. Values are given for the remaining three isotopic combinations.
