Abstract The aziridinolysis of (NPCl 2 ) 3 and (NPCl 2 ) 2 NSOCl proceeds both via a geminal and non‐geminal pattern, whereas (NPCl 2 ) 2 NSOPh reacts almost exclusively via a geminal pathway. The presence of a P‐amino group (pyrrolidino, piperidino or morpholino) reduces the reactivity of the phosphorus centre concerned.
