A new semiconductor which exhibits unusual luminescent capability is proposed, and experimental results of photoluminescence to confirm the proposal are reported. The semiconductor can be called as a “disordered crystalline semiconductor”, since the atomic arrangement is disordered but single-crystal epitaxial growth is possible.
