Development of long lifetime cathode materials for microplasma application

Abstract

Diamond films with three different granular structures were investigated for the employment as cathode materials in microplasma devices. The hybrid granular structured diamond films having sp²-bonded carbons hidden in the boundaries between diamond grains exhibited not only excellent plasma illumination behavior but also with long lifetime.
