Immunosenescence is associated with human cytomegalovirus and shortened telomeres in type I bipolar disorder

Abstract

These data support the hypothesis of accelerated aging in BD, as shown by shortened telomeres, higher seropositivity for CMV, and expansion of senescent T cells.
