Abstract

A skin lesion consisting of increased numbers of eccrine sweat ducts associated with enveloping angiomatous vascular channels is presented. Although a small number of similar lesions have been described, the present case is unique in that the regional pilar structures were also involved by the periadnexal vascular proliferation. The intimate topographic relationship between the epithelial and mesenchymal components suggests that the lesion arises as a consequence of abnormal adnexogenesis involving biochemical evocators of these respective components.
