Abstract Pachybiose ( 1 ) is shown to be 4‐O‐(3‐O‐methyl‐6‐deoxy‐β‐ D ‐allopyranosyl)‐ D ‐oleandrose and asclepobiose ( 14 ) 4‐O‐(3‐O‐methyl‐6‐deoxy‐β‐ D ‐allopyranosyl)‐ D ‐cymarose.
