The images of dislocations, residing in a coherent twin boundary (CTB), have been obtained by orienting both grains simultaneously for the two-beam diffraction condition. It is observed that if the reflecting planes are not continuous across the boundary the dislocation images are quite complicated, and it is difficult to assess visibility or invisibility unambiguously. This could, however, be circumvented by imaging with parallel diffracting vectors. It then appears feasible to determine their Burgers vectors using the conventional approach, and the presence of the CTB could be ignored.
