Rosseland Opacity Tables for Population i Compositions

Abstract

Detailed tables of Rosseland mean opacities, without allowance for electron conduction, are presented for ten Population I compositions. These tables provide a basis for interpolation and extrapolation in stellar structure calculations. Changes from the methods employed in previous publications are described. A discussion and calculations concerning the accuracy of the free-free absorption are given.
