In the modern industrial process, accurate flow measurement is a very challenging task. In this paper, an alternative technique to cross-correlation techniques for transit time estimation is presented. It is based on a spectrum analysis of pixel values of cross-sections from a dual-plane electrical tomography system. The preliminary results of flow velocity measurement show that the technique is sufficiently efficient particularly in the case when the cross-correlation function of signals has no evident peak.
