The classification of rotational energy levels according to symmetry species of the full molecular point group, previously presented only for symmetric-top molecules, is extended to nonlinear molecules of any symmetry in states of any multiplicity. Selection rules for electric dipole transitions between the rovibronic levels thus classified are presented.
