On The Radiation Stability of Solid Organic Compounds

Abstract

A hypothesis associating the value of radiation-induced yields in free radicals, Ga, with the position of the lowest excited level, E/sub 1/, is put forward. The conclusions drawn from this hypothesis as to the routes of secondary reac tions involving hydrogen atoms formed in radiolysis are consistent with experimental results. (auth)
