Synthesis of Mesoporous BN and BCN Exhibiting Large Surface Areas via Templating Methods

Abstract

Mesoporous BN and BCxN have been prepared using mesoporous carbon as a template and characterized by HRTEM, EELS, HRSEM, and N2 adsorption. These materials possess high surface area and well-ordered pore systems and could now be applied in the fabrication of oxidation-resistant composites, gas storage devices, and molecular adsorbents.
