The exchange energy, exchange potential, and the exchange contribution to the interaction function are evaluated for all nonzero temperatures. These results are the finite temperature versions of the ${\ensuremath{\rho}}^{\frac{1}{3}}$-theory of Kohn-Sham. The applications of the results reported here are indicated. The paramagnetic susceptibility of an interacting electron gas as a function of temperature exhibits an interesting peak structure.
