Precise measurements, using a stable high-resolution Ge(Li) spectrometer, have been made of the $K(2p\ensuremath{-}1s)$ and $L(3d\ensuremath{-}2p)$ muonic x-ray spectra for nine deformed even-even nuclei: $^{150}\mathrm{Nd}$, $^{152}\mathrm{Sm}$, $^{162}\mathrm{Dy}$, $^{164}\mathrm{Dy}$, $^{168}\mathrm{Er}$, $^{170}\mathrm{Er}$, $^{182}\mathrm{W}$, $^{184}\mathrm{W}$, and $^{186}\mathrm{W}$. From these measurements, parameters describing the nuclear charge distribution have been determined. Nuclear-polarization corrections have been included in the analysis. The accuracy of the determination of the parameters of the nuclear charge distribution is limited by theoretical rather than experimental uncertainties. Isotope shifts have been determined and compared with optical and electronic x-ray results.
