Abstract. Chemically pure prostaglandin E was infused in doses of 0.2–4.7 μglkglrnin in two healthy male subjects over periods of 4–10 min. Tachycardia, reddening of the faoe, headache and an oppressive feeling in the chest were noted. Systemic arterial blood pressure and cardiac output fell moderately.
