Measurements of Internal Conversion and Internal Pair Formation Coefficients in Lead Isotopes

Abstract

The decay of 205 Bi, 206 Bi, and 207 Bi have been studied using Ge(Li) detectors for γ-ray detection and a trochoidal β-ray spectrometer for conversion electron and internal pairs detection. Numerous conversion coefficients and internal pair formation coefficients have been determined. Using γ−γ coincidence the positions of the 1844, 1878, and 1903 keV transitions in the decay of 206 Bi have been determined.
