Abstract When two sensors are available the prospector can use them either in a gradiometer arrangement or dispose them at the same horizontal level to record two different profiles simultaneously. The processing of one‐sensor data presented here for both synthetic and actual cases gives slightly better results than gradient measurements, which justifies the second solution.
