Alkyl(dicyclogentadienyl)lutetium Complexes: Monomeric Alkyllanthanoid Derivatives

Abstract

The monomecric alkyllutetium complexes of type (1) are stable up to ca. 100 °C. While the methyl, ethyl, and n-butyl derivatives could be identified by NMR spectroscopy as 1:1 complexes with THF in benzene; the derivatives with larger alkyl (or aryl) ligands could be isolated as crystals. All the compounds (1) are extremely water- and air-sensitive.
