The angular dependence of resonance structure in elastic electron-mercury scattering is studied for electron energies from 4 to 5.5 eV. The results confirm the spectroscopic classification 2D3/2 and 2D5/2 to the resonances at 4.5 eV and 5.15 eV proposed by Fano and Cooper (1965).
