Abstract

S ummary . The study was designed to examine differences in the performance of dyslexic and normal children in the recall of letter arrays which were presented for varying durations. Thirty‐three dyslexic and 33 normal children aged between 8 and 12 years were recruited for the study. The results show significant differences in the level of performance rather than differences in kind of visual information processing and would support the notion of a developmental lag in visual memory.
