Absolute Raman Intensities. I. Method for Molecules in the Gas Phase

Abstract

A method of determining absolute gas-phase Raman intensities is described, with performance parameters for a Cary model 81 gas-phase spectrograph. The method is closely related to that of Yoshino and Bernstein; the basic calibration comparison is to the rotational Raman lines of hydrogen.
