The Raman spectrum of crystalline pyrazine has been observed at several temperatures between 4.2° and 293°K. Five low-frequency Raman bands due to the lattice vibrations have been found. A normal coordinate calculation has led to definite assignments of these bands and to a reasonable set of intermolecular force constants. The Raman frequencies due to the intramolecular vibrations are also given.
