Inflammation-Mediated Damage in Progressing Lacunar Infarctions

Abstract

High concentrations of inflammatory markers in blood are associated with END and poor functional outcome in lacunar infarctions. These findings suggest that inflammation contributes to brain injury in lacunar stroke.
