Abstract

This study was conducted to determine how business administration graduates employed in different types of positions spend their time communicating. Job category was found to be significantly related to percentage of time spent in speaking and writing but not in listening, reading, or otheractivities. Undergraduate business major was significantly related to percentage of time spent in speaking, listening, and writing. The report concludes that certain communication courses should be required or stronglyrecommended as part of the curriculum for the various business administration major areas.
